THE ROLE

We’re looking for a visionary yet practical Marketing Director (f/m/x) to join our core team at Beam - you’ll excel in providing brand promotion and marketing support across inbound channels, particularly websites and LinkedIn.

Our core team provides specialised advice and strategy insights to our start-up community to accelerate their growth. As a key member of this team, you will spend the majority of your time partnering with our startup Founders to build fit for purpose strategies across their industry base and start-up stage, with a thoughtful plan appropriate to their ambitions. You’ll generate high-quality thought leadership in copy and deliverables that will help them reach their marketing objectives. The rest of your time will be spent focusing on levelling up the content across Beam’s key online channels (LinkedIn, website, blog, newsletter).

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  1. Work closely with our early stage startups (more than six small teams) to understand their content and marketing needs. Formulate a briefing and workflow structure to enable effective collaboration on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  2. Generate high-quality, native English (and at times German) content that helps position our startups as category leaders across their most relevant online channels, amplifies their reach, and generates engagement. Ideally, you will employ a mindset keen on trying and testing what content works best. 
  3. Set up KPIs and basic reporting structures for the startups to understand their Marketing ROI. Your services will be provided like an internal Consultant, so you need to build and maintain a positive relationship with your stakeholders, and measure output and value.
  4. Take ownership of Beam’s four key online channels (website, blog, newsletter, LinkedIn) and create content for these channels to help promote online visibility and audience growth.
  5. Work closely with our Senior Researcher and Head of People to align Beam’s content production with in-house research topics as well as hiring goals with a focus on LinkedIn.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. You can demonstrate accomplished experience in content creation, conceptualizing and implementing online marketing strategies, and ideally analytics. You have gained this experience in the logistics or tech industry, as part of a startup or a digital agency. 
  2. You are versed in LinkedIn, meaning you understand a wide array of dos and don’ts, have actively managed profiles and can demonstrate that you know which metrics matter and how to deliver on these. You are familiar with terms like Account Based Marketing and Social Selling. 
  3. You are a fast learner, work independently, and are open to the challenge of mastering new topics.
  4. You are creative and enjoy putting an original spin on the content you create but also no stranger to analytics dashboards and are comfortable using basic CMS tools (Wordpress, Wix, etc.). 
  5. You speak and write business fluent English and (ideally) German, can put structured thoughts into writing, and take pride in correctly formulated sentences, spectacular spelling, and the occasional witty wording.   
  6. You have both B2B and B2C experience and can adapt between the two styles of operating.
  7. Ideally you have experience supporting clients in industrial commerce and recognise how to adjust your style across industries; including Logistics, Manufacturing, Materials Handling
